Come on Down, the Sunday Music Series is Always Free & the Vibes are Always Cosy. You can check excerpts from the weekly in-store sets through our Instagram feed.

Since the turn of the new year, there have been even more interesting musicians contacting me to play at DMG’s weekly series than ever before. You will notice we now have several triple bills coming up in the next few months. This will continue for as long I find important New Musicians who need an outlet for their creative music making. Sets listed in the DMG weekly newsletter occasionally change from what we post since we do get the rare cancelation. Please come down to visit, these sets are FREE and we often have wine & other goodies.

SARAH VALLEE Recommendations:

Over the past few years, the weekly Sunday gigs at DMG, have become more musically diverse and attendance has increased with handful of diehards who attend every week or relatively often. I have made a number of new friends who are also inspired by Creative/Challenging music and have reached out to do something to help promote this music:

Another great gig-list calendar is provided by our pal SARAH VALLEE. Sarah is a big fan of Marc Ribot, John Zorn and dozens of other Downtown musicians. Here is link to her own recommended calendar with many links…  www.tinyurl.com/nyconcerts

*************

JESSICA HALLOCK Calendar:

Another good friend is JESSICA HALLOCK who runs a her own site/recommended monthly calendar. It lists a wealth of shows for nearly every day of the month, sometimes as many as 25 sets per day!!! With dozens of appropriate links. Here is her website address: https://nyc-noise.com/

The Independent Promoters Alliance is a loose-knit group of friends who attend many musical performances, organize shows and independently promote music that inspires them and hopefully others. Mostly we do word-of-mouth & relatively small e-mail lists. We have put together a monthly gig newsletter but time will tell if we can do this consistently. — Organized by Bruce Lee Gallanter, Eric & Chris Stern, Kevin Reilly, Sarah Vallee, Matt Vernon, Jessica Hallock and Kurt Gottschalk. You can often find us sitting upfront at The Stone, Jazz Gallery, I-Beam, etc. We are all friendly and opinionated and love to discuss music. Come join us. - BLG

If you wish to be removed from this list, let us know. If you want to add any other names (e-mail addresses), let us know that as well. It is a free service so anyone can join.
