    shipping costs vary country to country
    at least $10. for first three pieces, usually
    the best way for us is to charge you twice
    once for the merchandise, once for the shipping costs
    otherwise we have to approximate, we are getting better at it

    but the rules for each country is different

Downtown Music Gallery was born in 1991 and specializes in adventurous music. We carry compact discs and records, both new & used, as well as videos, magazines, t-shirts and a few books. The store is currently owned & run by Bruce Lee Gallanter who specializes in Downtown music, Canterbury & other progressive musics, as well as modern jazz, world music, klezmer, contemporary classical, electronic, psychedelic, blues, folk, bluegrass, country and soul. Emperor Mike works with Bruce and specializes in dark metal, ambient, techo, goth even dabbles in lounge and other hip stuff. We do mail order for all of John Zorn's and Bill Laswell's labels and releases. We have about 50% vinyl and even some rare lps which will be listed soon on our website. Want list are welcome. We also occasionally sponsor concerts of adventurous music at the Knitting Factory, Tonic, Context and elsewhere. We have an ongoing free music series at our store most Sundays at 7pm, so come visit when you can.
